If you have a heavy door that seems to have a loose hinge it could be that either the door hinge screws are stripped or the screw hole is stripped.

Pick a bit slightly smaller than the insert width for a tight fit.
Then bore out the stripped holes with a 3 8 inch diameter bit.
Fix it the right way not the wrong way.
Unscrew the loose screws and remove the hinge.

Compare the drill bit width to the size of the insert to find which bit size to stop at.
Plug holes with golf tees if the holes are big enough.
Remove the screws that hold the loose hinge leaf to the door jamb.
Open the door wide and insert a wedge under the bottom outside corner to level it.
Remove the loose screws and the hinge.
Using your 3 8 drill bit drill out the old screw holes.
To make sure it stays centered start with 1 8 inch and work your way up.
Once the door hinge is out of the way carefully drill out the hole where the screw used to be.
This is caused by the strain that heavy doors can put on both hinges and screws.
When you first notice this it is important that you fix the problem as soon as you can.
Fill holes with toothpicks or matches to provide added grip for screws.
Drill out the old holes.
The wrong way is a temporary fix not cool.

If the hinge and jamb are painted cut the paint around the leaf with a utility knife swing the leaf away from the jamb.
